VLADIMIRS ZENKO
PhD Student
Vlad joined the lab as a BBSRC DTP PhD student after his MSci in Theoretical Astrophysics here at the University of Nottingham, which sparked his passion for all things living.

His research is at the intersection of quantum technologies and single molecule pharmacology, focusing on using NV nanodiamonds in tandem with quantum-enhanced optical systems for non-invasive, real-time, single-molecule imaging in complex biological media. This approach enables the detection of low-concentration paramagnetic biomarkers for genetic disorders and the study of GPCR conformational changes, offering insights into cellular energy transport.
